Sensor Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Design, test, and deploy sensors for semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment in a laboratory environment.
• Develop customer-focused sensing solutions from technology-gap analysis through implementation.
• Lead complex application activities, cross-functional teams, and technical review meetings.
• Create methodologies to optimize system performance for specific applications.
• Analyze, document, and transfer application capabilities to customer application support teams.
• Use AI and machine learning tools for sensor development, data analysis, anomaly detection, and predictive insights.

Requirements

• MS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in sensor design, integration, and testing; fresh graduates are also welcome.
• Experience with sensor protocols, network protocols, data acquisition boards, and data exchange methodologies.
• Statistical analysis experience using R, Python, or JMP.
• Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication equipment and its sensor operating environments.
• Ability to follow laboratory safety guidelines and support customer-facing technical activities.

Nice to have

• Experience designing wire harnesses, engineering drawings, and design-for-manufacturing practices.
• Experience with semiconductor fab equipment as a systems or equipment engineer.
• Familiarity with AI/ML techniques such as pattern recognition and predictive modeling for sensor data and equipment diagnostics.
