Manager, Enterprise Systems Engineering - MO/MN (Storage)

Location: Remote within the United States, with listed locations in Kansas City, Missouri; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and St. Louis, Missouri.

Annual base salary: $156,100–$234,500 USD. The role may also be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing enterprise pre-sales Systems Engineering team.
• Drive operational excellence, technical demand validation, and team support practices.
• Understand customer business drivers and decision-making to shape sales strategies and technical responsibilities.
• Guide the team in translating customer requirements into storage and data infrastructure solutions.
• Support RFI and RFP responses, interoperability testing, functional validation, and performance testing.
• Develop thought leadership based on storage market trends, competitive offerings, and roadmap planning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of management experience leading high-performing Sales Engineers selling to enterprise accounts.
• 10+ years supporting sales of storage, networking, or systems solutions for large accounts and data centers.
• Strong understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing architecture, design, and implementation.
• Knowledge of storage architectures and technologies including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, on-premises and public cloud environments, provisioning automation, and containers.
• Knowledge of VMware, local area networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking, plus excellent verbal and written communication skills.
