What you will do

• Lead, hire, coach, and develop software engineers through performance management, mentorship, and career planning.
• Define and execute the engineering roadmap while balancing business priorities, delivery, reliability, technical debt, and operational excellence.
• Guide architectural direction and technical decisions for shared services, APIs, integrations, and platform capabilities.
• Improve engineering quality, delivery effectiveness, scalability, maintainability, and developer productivity.
• Partner with Product, Infrastructure, Security, and Engineering leadership on platform strategy and technical priorities.
• Promote responsible AI-assisted development across the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience leading, hiring, retaining, and developing high-performing geographically distributed software engineering teams.
• Experience designing, building, and operating highly available cloud-native applications, distributed systems, APIs, integrations, and platform services.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis or ElastiCache, document databases, CI/CD, API management, and observability platforms.
• Experience leading Agile teams, managing delivery risk, improving engineering processes, and driving predictable execution.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, prioritization, organizational, and technical decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Healthcare or pharmacy industry experience.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, microservices, GraphQL, React, and Next.js.
