Engineering Manager

Location: New York, New York, United States; hybrid work environment

Salary: $275,000–$350,000 annually, including base salary, annual bonus incentive, and new-hire equity package.

What you will do

• Hire, develop, coach, and grow software engineering talent through career support, feedback, and performance reviews.
• Lead team execution, engineering ceremonies, roadmap planning, and alignment across engineering, product, and operations.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, and operations teams to define requirements for real-world Ambassador workflows.
• Build and evolve tools, systems, and platforms supporting real-time, in-person member and traveler service experiences.
• Provide technical leadership on architecture, system design, risks, trade-offs, testing, documentation, and observability.
• Drive performance, reliability, usability, continuous improvement, and data-driven operational excellence.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing and developing software engineers.
• Strong software development experience across coding, architecture, system design, and the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with modern object-oriented languages, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Experience building cloud-native applications and scalable distributed systems.
• Strong communication skills for translating complex technical concepts into actionable guidance for cross-functional partners.
• Ability to work across teams and disciplines to deliver cohesive, human-centered experiences.
