V-BAT Internal Training Instructor

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; on-site. Travel is required for training support, testing, and deployments, including possible austere or remote locations.

Salary: $110,000–$172,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

• Deliver initial qualification training for aircraft operators and maintenance technicians.
• Conduct instructor upgrades, evaluations, endorsements, certifications, and readiness assessments.
• Maintain oversight of personnel qualifications, currency, standardized procedures, checklists, and training requirements.
• Develop and refine training materials, syllabi, evaluation criteria, and curriculum standards.
• Coordinate with operations, standardization, and maintenance teams to align training with mission requirements.
• Support test events, exercises, deployments, and mentorship for operators and technicians.

Requirements

• Experience as a UAS operator, maintainer, or military aviation instructor.
• Experience in structured training environments with formal evaluations, certifications, or qualification processes.
• Strong understanding of aviation procedures, safety, and standardization.
• Ability to enforce standards and provide clear, direct feedback.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Dallas and travel to training, testing, and deployment locations.

Nice to have

• Instructor Pilot, Evaluator, or equivalent designation.
• Experience with Group 3–5 UAS or comparable systems.
• Maintenance training or certification-program experience.
• Operational or deployed-environment experience.
• 3,000 documented unmanned flight hours or 1,500 manned flight hours, plus FAA pilot or remote-pilot certifications.
