Assistant Hospitality Services Manager (Hospitality)

Location: On campus at Manchester Museum, Oxford Road, Manchester, United Kingdom. Full-time onsite work for 40 hours per week across 5 days out of 7, including evenings and weekends. This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship; applicants must demonstrate the right to work in the UK.

What you will do

• Run the Manchester Museum cafe and coffee bar on a day-to-day basis.
• Manage conference hospitality and events, including receptions, buffets, evening dinners, and private hire functions.
• Work collaboratively with Conferencing and Hospitality colleagues to maximise business performance.
• Help grow and develop the museum hospitality business area.
• Deliver customer service excellence in a busy, pressurised environment.

Requirements

• Experience running or managing restaurants in similar venues and/or managing conferencing and events.
• Hospitality and/or business-related subject qualification.
• Knowledge of hospitality, events, or weddings and relevant service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of IT and industry-relevant software, event administration, and financial responsibilities.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom; Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is not available.
