Senior Legal Counsel (E-commerce)

What you will do

• Oversee marketplace seller matters, including contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and sanctions management.
• Advise on EU product compliance, including safety, labeling, packaging waste, and ecodesign requirements.
• Provide guidance on cross-border trade, the EU–Turkey Customs Union, import duties, and IOSS/OSS schemes.
• Manage payment regulation compliance and negotiate agreements with Payment Service Provider partners.
• Draft and manage warehouse, supplier, and last-mile carrier agreements, including liability provisions.
• Translate regulatory developments into guidance for Operations, Finance, and Product teams, while managing external counsel and regulatory relationships.

Requirements

• Law degree from a recognized institution; bar admission is a strong advantage.
• At least 10 years of legal experience across at least two relevant responsibility areas.
• Experience leading a legal team or managing people, including mentoring junior lawyers.
• Deep knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks for e-commerce, marketplaces, and international trade.
• Expertise negotiating complex, multi-party commercial contracts in international corporate structures.
• Fluent English is mandatory; German, Romanian, or Greek proficiency is a significant plus.
