Senior Legal Counsel (Data Protection)

Location: Hybrid position in Frankfurt am Main, Germany

What you will do

• Advise senior management and business partners on complex legal, commercial, regulatory, and risk matters.
• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of national and international supply, distribution, service, license, and vendor agreements.
• Manage legal disputes, external counsel, high-profile proceedings, and company-wide risk management strategies.
• Lead data protection projects, including GDPR compliance and cross-border data transfer advice.
• Coordinate legal strategy across international subsidiaries and lead due diligence, M&A, restructuring, and other major legal projects.
• Design training for management and legal teams and mentor junior legal staff.

Requirements

• University degree in law, completed state examination, and qualification as a lawyer.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in an international company or law firm.
• Expertise in German and international commercial law, contract law, data protection, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Experience advising executive leadership and managing multinational legal teams and complex projects.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English are mandatory.
