Senior System Engineer (DevOps)

Location: Bengaluru, India; hybrid work with office attendance at least 3 days per week for candidates within reasonable commuting distance

What you will do

• Develop, manage, and optimize Jenkins pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and system administrators on automated testing and deployment practices.
• Monitor deployments, resolve issues, and help minimize downtime.
• Design and optimize cloud environments to improve automation and efficiency.
• Maintain Git version control, participate in code reviews and sprint planning, and support release coordination.
• Provide technical troubleshooting support to developers.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or in a similar role, including hands-on Jenkins experience.
• Strong knowledge of Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
• Relevant bachelor's degree, B.Tech, B.E., or M.Tech in computer science or a related field.
• Experience with Linux, command-line tools, and Groovy, Bash, or Python scripting.
• Knowledge of Git, branching strategies, build tools such as Maven, Gradle, or NPM, and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, teamwork, and Agile collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud or another cloud provider, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch or NewRelic.
• Experience with security tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, or Veracode.
