Staff Engineer - Cloud Backend Engineering (Cloud Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Design and architect cloud infrastructure, platform services, and scalable systems for 10X improvements in reliability, availability, performance, efficiency, and quality.
• Build self-service code and end-to-end deployment automation for application stacks using infrastructure as code and CI/CD.
• Define roadmaps and technical vision for cloud infrastructure and platform services targeting 99.999% availability.
• Analyze distributed production deployments, network usage, role management, CDN, domains, and cloud security to identify improvements.
• Solve complex infrastructure problems across public clouds and private or hybrid cloud environments while improving operational excellence.
• Provide technical leadership and collaborate with customers, stakeholders, lead engineers, and multiple engineering teams on mission-critical projects.

Requirements

• 7+ years of total professional experience; 10+ years of experience in system engineering, Cloud DevOps, Cloud SRE, or cloud infrastructure engineering.
• 7+ years of experience leading system design and architecture using AWS or Azure services.
• 10+ years of experience building and operating infrastructure as code and highly available, scalable distributed cloud systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Python or Go, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Ansible, CI/CD, and cloud service integrations.
• Experience building and managing high-performance hybrid cloud environments and automating application deployments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience leading teams.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications in advanced architecting or development.
• 15+ years of hands-on experience in cloud platform engineering.
