Cloud Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable cloud-based applications and infrastructure solutions for customers.
• Automate cloud-native technology deployments and provision infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot internal hardware, software, servers, and system services.
• Propose and implement improvements to system reliability, performance, security, and availability.
• Manage access controls, support web and messaging services, and maintain a secure systems environment.
• Research technology products and assist with hardware and software upgrades or repairs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience, including 3+ years as an AWS Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform in production, CloudFormation, cloud-native CI/CD, Jenkins, AWS CodeDeploy, or GitLab.
• Experience with microservices and distributed application architectures, including containers, Kubernetes, or serverless technologies.
• Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, monitoring, and log aggregation.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle and Agile delivery practices.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, SysOps Administrator, or Developer Associate.
• Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience working across organizations and engagements, preferably in professional services.
