Software Engineer - Mapping & Localization

Salary: $130,000–$182,000 annual base pay, plus performance bonus and equity

What you will do

• Build advanced mapping pipelines combining data from a wide variety of sensors.
• Develop real-time localization algorithms that use generated maps.
• Implement mapping and localization systems for real-world data and uncertain environments.
• Apply visual SLAM, place recognition, probabilistic filtering, computer vision, and inertial pose theory.
• Optimize computationally expensive algorithms for commodity hardware.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience.
• Advanced degree and experience building mapping and localization systems.
• Strong knowledge of visual SLAM, place recognition, probabilistic filtering, computer vision, and inertial pose theory.
• Fluent C++ skills; Python is beneficial.
• Experience with pose estimation, probabilistic filtering, SLAM, or nonlinear optimization.
• Ability to work in undefined and fast-paced environments.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Linux and ROS.
• Experience in automotive, aerospace, robotics, vehicle, or embedded systems.
• Experience with real-time sensor fusion involving IMU, lidar, cameras, odometry, or radar.
• Experience with self-driving technologies.
