Senior Test Engineer (Semiconductor)

hirify.global develops semiconductor products, with this role focused on System Protection new product introduction and production test engineering.

What you will do

• Develop characterization and production final-test solutions for System Protection NPI products.
• Design, implement, debug, and validate test hardware and software.
• Perform ATE-to-bench and other correlation studies, including wafer-to-final-test correlation.
• Evaluate test-solution robustness through spike checking, R&R checks, and related analyses.
• Transfer test solutions to reliability and production environments and provide support during reliability testing.
• Develop test methods that improve test time, product robustness, quality, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience as a Test Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or in a related semiconductor role.
• Deep understanding of PMIC architectures, buck/boost converters, LDOs, Hot Switch controllers, and analog/mixed-signal test methodologies.
• Experience with ATE platforms such as Teradyne J750, UltraFLEX, ETS, Advantest V93000, or Cohu.
• Experience developing test programs with IG-XL, SmartTest, C++, and Python; knowledge of EDA tools is required, while Altium Designer is advantageous.
• Knowledge of reliability testing, parametric and functional testing, characterization, statistical analysis, yield optimization, DFT, and testability analysis.
• Experience with NPI test planning, quality systems, multi-project coordination, schedule management, and communication across U.S. and Asia time zones.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of experience in semiconductor test engineering.
• Test cost modeling, COGS reduction, capital equipment planning, and supplier or OSAT management.
• Automotive qualification experience, including AEC-Q100, and knowledge of industrial or customer-specific standards.
• Understanding of DC-DC converter topologies and control loops.
• High-power discrete device testing experience.
