Associate Manager, Fund Accounting

Location: Toronto, Canada — hybrid. Afternoon shift required to cover clients located in the US. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada and provide a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Salary: CAD 65,000–85,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage client issues involving trade processing, fund valuation, fee calculations, and investor reporting.
• Review client and investor reports for accuracy and compliance with fund documents and service level agreements.
• Train and mentor fund and senior accountants.
• Resolve product, technical, and procedural issues raised by fund accountants.
• Streamline processes to improve efficiency and group throughput.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Significant mutual fund or investment accounting experience.
• Thorough understanding of US and international investment characteristics, including common and exotic instruments.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Post-secondary degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Ability to work afternoon shifts covering US-based clients and legal eligibility to work in Canada.
