Senior Manager, Fund Accounting, Private Markets / Private Debt

Salary: CAD 105,000–CAD 154,000 yearly

What you will do

• Deliver fund accounting and administration services for private equity and private debt clients, including NAV preparation and review, custody servicing, investor records, and reporting.
• Manage and train Fund Accountants across the NAV process and allocate resources to meet service-level agreements.
• Review and approve fee schedules, management fees, carried interest, investor allocations, waterfall calculations, fund expenses, capital calls, distributions, and custody documents.
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, brokers, custodians, administrators, and the internal AML team to ensure accurate and compliant service delivery.
• Respond to client queries, approve reports and schedules, support audits and regulatory reporting, and establish client-specific procedures and cross-training coverage.
• Improve NAV processes, technology, and client reporting while participating in multiple system initiatives and projects.

Requirements

• University or post-secondary degree in finance or accounting.
• Experience in fund administration with staff management responsibility.
• In-depth knowledge of private equity fund administration, fund structures, fee calculations, financial instruments, and offering documentation.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Geneva, Investran, or Yardi, or working knowledge of Bloomberg, is beneficial.
• Completion of or interest in a professional accounting or investment designation such as CA, CGA, CMA, ACCA, ICAEW, or CFA is an asset.
