Senior Fund Accountant (Private Debt)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada

Salary: CAD 72,000–CAD 105,600 yearly

What you will do

• Review financial data from private equity and private debt clients and load it into internal accounting systems.
• Set up, prepare, and review consolidations across investment structures using applicable consolidation rules.
• Process fund expenses, book journal entries, and reconcile investments and cash with third parties.
• Prepare capital call and distribution calculations, notices, fee schedules, management fee calculations, and carried interest calculations.
• Prepare investor allocations for NAV cycles, NAV packages, and other deliverables defined in service level agreements.
• Collaborate with clients, banks, auditors, and other third parties to complete deliverables.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education or a university degree with a concentration in finance or accounting.
• Experience in the fund administration industry, including experience managing staff such as administrators, investment managers, or fund auditors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• In-depth understanding of fund structures, fee calculations, financial instruments, and fund offering documentation.
• Experience with Geneva, Investran, or Yardi is an asset.
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg is beneficial but not required.
