Inventory Control Specialist

What you will do

• Plan material requirements based on production schedules and business demand.
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, logistics, suppliers, and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Develop inventory control procedures to minimize shortages and excess stock.
• Receive, inspect, record, organize, label, and distribute materials and products.
• Maintain inventory records, perform stock and cycle counts, and monitor discrepancies.
• Prepare inventory, material cost, shipping, receiving, and supply chain reports while resolving material-related issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in inventory, warehouse, or stock control is preferred.
• Basic computer, data entry, math, and recordkeeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and move materials as needed and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and inventory control policies.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with inventory software or ERP systems such as SAP, QAD, Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle E-Business Suite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Infor CloudSuite, Epicor ERP, NetSuite, IFS Applications, Plex, Deacom ERP, or Aptean ERP.
• Knowledge of barcode scanners and inventory tracking systems.
