Senior Spacecraft Design Engineer (Fluid Systems)

Salary: $140,000–$195,000 per year

What you will do

• Design complex, highly integrated fluid and mechanical systems for high-performance spacecraft.
• Own component design from concept through product realization.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings with GD&T.
• Perform fluid, thermal, and structural analyses as required.
• Coordinate material procurement, part fabrication, assembly, and hardware testing with internal and external partners.
• Resolve technical issues with innovative and resourceful engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience designing complex, high-pressure, high-performance fluid and mechanical systems.
• At least 5 years of experience working with fluid, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in engineering drawings, 3D CAD modeling, and GD&T according to ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with requirements definition, conceptual design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, and hardware testing.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. export regulations, including ITAR and EAR.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and delivering flight propulsion components for high-pressure, high-performance applications.
• Experience with in-space propulsion components and Siemens NX.
• Strong project management and technical communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Startup or agile development experience.
