Systems: Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer (New York)

Location: New York, United States

Annual base salary: $225,000–$325,000, plus variable year-end compensation.

What you will do

• Design and maintain global networks, Linux operating systems, security policies, infrastructure, and core network services.
• Support infrastructure across datacenters, cloud services, and global offices.
• Continuously improve the security framework of a large-scale environment supporting investment activity and technology development.
• Design, implement, and integrate infrastructure systems, particularly on Linux-based platforms.
• Collaborate with platform engineering colleagues and teams across the firm.

Requirements

• At least ten years of comparable work experience.
• Development experience in Python.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux-based operating systems and configuration management tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience with host- and network-level diagnostic tracing tools.
• Experience with automated builds, software deployment, and CI/CD systems.
• Working knowledge of network protocols, information security, databases, large-scale storage, and Windows/Linux interoperability.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rust, Java, C, Go, or C#.
• Experience maintaining DNS, DHCP, and Kerberos infrastructure.
• Degree in computer science or another technical discipline.
