Senior Systems Administrator (Linux)

Salary: $103,000–$155,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Strengthen the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical infrastructure supporting manufacturing, testing, and engineering operations.
• Deploy, configure, automate, and maintain Linux production systems across on-premises and Azure/GCP cloud environments.
• Provide advanced administration and support for Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise backup systems.
• Partner with Linux, Windows, and infrastructure engineers to operationalize designs and ensure reliable handoffs.
• Mentor junior administrators and standardize and automate recurring administration tasks.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive Linux and Windows systems administration experience in enterprise or mission-critical environments.
• Deep expertise in Linux administration, including configuration management, patching, and performance tuning.
• Advanced understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or Rubrik.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and experience troubleshooting at the network/system boundary.
• Experience managing and monitoring large environments with a focus on reliability, automation, and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to own issues through resolution.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure, GCP, or hybrid-cloud systems administration.
• Exposure to Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, or similar configuration management and orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with enterprise backup compliance and retention policies.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation and system health monitoring.
