Critical Environments Technician IV

Location: COL1; onsite work in a 24/7/365 data center environment is required, including extended onsite hours during emergencies.

What you will do

• Complete assigned operations and maintenance tasks for data center and other assigned building spaces.
• Use and teach others to use the computerized maintenance management system for preventive maintenance, reactive work orders, labor tracking, and reporting.
• Perform operations using site procedures, including SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and MMRs.
• Respond to building system alarms, protect the critical load, minimize equipment damage, and participate in root cause analysis.
• Perform critical switching, lockout/tagout, and safe work-area setup for specialty subcontractors.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors while maintaining high workmanship, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Journeyman-level skills in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC/R disciplines, supported by relevant education, training, or technical facility maintenance experience.
• 7–10 years of experience in Tier 2, Tier 3, or Tier 4 data centers, operations and maintenance, or building engineering.
• Experience with work order control, CMMS, subcontractor and vendor contract management, key performance indicators, capacity planning, and reporting.
• Ability to use hand tools, test equipment, personal computers, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment through graphical user interfaces, respond to alarms, and stabilize systems until specialized OEM technicians arrive.
• Availability for onsite 24/7/365 operations and emergency corrective maintenance, including extended hours during events such as hurricanes.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Visio or AutoCAD.
