Engineer II - Quality (Semiconductor)

Location: Philippines - Mphil 3; the role is stated to be stationed in Malaysia.

What you will do

• Manage subcontractor scorecards, coordinate quality activities, and drive supplier improvement programs.
• Perform audits at subcontractor sites and follow corrective actions through closure.
• Coach subcontractors on permanent solutions for customer returns related to assembly, testing, and shipping distribution.
• Ensure timely closure of 8D reports and other corrective actions.
• Establish best known methods and good manufacturing practices across subcontractors.
• Manage on-hold supplier lots and participate in assembly or test NPI activities.

Requirements

• Master's or bachelor's degree in science or engineering, including physics, chemistry, statistics, materials, mechanical, electrical, electronics, or chemical engineering.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Experience in an OEM or supplier environment supporting assembly or test functions.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and suppliers across Asia.
• Good command of English is required.
• Knowledge of IC assembly and testing, JEDEC/IPC and military standards for SMD packages, quality tools, problem-solving methods, and ISO/TS-based quality systems is advantageous.
