Learning & Development Intern (Aerospace): Building and organizing on-the-job training courses in Rocket Lab's RL2 training database with an accent on competency frameworks, information architecture, and intuitive course design. Location: Auckland, New Zealand. New Zealand applicants may be subject to nationality checks and must be eligible to access equipment and data regulated by ITAR.

What you will do
- Complete onboarding on the RL2 training database and Learning & Development processes.
- Create and rename on-the-job training courses based on team competency matrices.
- Work with subject matter experts to identify and document key competencies across specialist fields.
- Design intuitive course structures and support the rollout of new training courses.
- Generate reports for managers tracking staff development and competency completion.
- Assist with practical training sessions and build relationships across multiple teams.
Requirements
- Recently completed or currently completing a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Media Design, or a related field; graduates up to four years after graduation are welcome.
- Strong software skills and the ability to learn new systems and databases quickly.
- Problem-solving skills for complex information architecture challenges and strong analytical skills for prioritizing competency requirements.
- Design skills focused on intuitive user experiences.
- Excellent communication, influencing, interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Self-management and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Nice to have
- Experience with Learning Management Systems or training databases.
- Knowledge of competency-based training frameworks, data analysis, reporting, or instructional design.
- Technical writing or documentation experience.
- Interest in organizational development, employee training, aerospace, space technology, and innovation.
