Electrical Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; travel up to 10% within the US and internationally

What you will do

• Design, simulate, implement, and test multi-layer mixed-signal PCBAs.
• Rapidly prototype electrical systems at board and system levels.
• Verify electronics and electrical system requirements and create schematics, block diagrams, test plans, and fabrication documentation.
• Build test fixtures and execute validation testing against performance specifications and FCC, CE, and UL standards.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, thermal, systems, and manufacturing engineers.
• Debug hardware and software defects, perform root-cause analysis, and support existing designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience designing, prototyping, and debugging PCBs and PCBAs.
• Familiarity with Altium or similar CAD tools and electronics simulation tools such as LTSpice or PSpice.
• Hands-on experience using electronics lab equipment for prototyping and testing.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and hardware debugging skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing electronics for lightweight, space-constrained systems.
• Experience implementing embedded systems on robots and troubleshooting hardware.
• Knowledge of AI accelerators or quantum computing.
