Electrical Engineer, Robotics (Medical Robotics)

Base salary: $105,000–$175,500 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, verify, and oversee the transition to production of custom electronics systems.
• Develop electronics for autonomous surgical robots, human-assistive surgical tools, and surgical suites.
• Work on robotics stages, motor drives and controls, custom camera systems, power electronics, and safety systems.
• Develop firmware and manufacturing automation for medical devices.
• Perform full lifecycle testing and support manufacturing for use in human surgeries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience across electronics design requirements, part selection, schematic capture, layout, manufacturing, and testing.
• Depth in power electronics, FPGA hardware design, or manufacturing test automation.
• Practical knowledge of EMC, ESD, thermal design, and electronics packaging.
• Ability to work with safety-critical hardware and complete production-focused testing.

Nice to have

• Hardware design portfolio.
• Experience with medical devices, aerospace, automotive, or military systems.
• Experience shipping code in C, C++, Python, or Rust.
• Altium experience.
