Staff Electrical Design Engineer (Robotics)

hirify.global develops commercially scalable and safe hirify.global robots, including the HMND-01 Alpha platform running in industrial pilots.

What you will do

• Design electrical systems for robotic sensors, compute architecture, and power systems.
• Perform circuit analysis, failure analysis, design reviews, and troubleshooting.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts in Altium for reliable and manufacturable robotics hardware.
• Develop and test embedded firmware in C and HDL for microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs.
• Validate designs with oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, programmable loads, and spectrum analyzers.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and software developers to integrate electrical systems into robotic platforms.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience with high-speed data technologies such as PCIe, MIPI, and Ethernet in PCB-based systems.
• Experience integrating sensors into embedded systems.
• Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium, including schematic capture and layout.
• Experience with embedded programming in C and HDL, plus familiarity with Verilog or VHDL.
• Experience building Linux kernels and modifying or writing device drivers, as well as using circuit analysis, simulation, debugging, and laboratory test equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, C++, LabVIEW, or MATLAB for automation and testing.
