Manager, Private Markets Fund Accounting (Private Equity)

Location: New York City, United States (hybrid)

Salary: $78,000–$165,000 USD per year, plus potential discretionary bonus and/or equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead teams delivering fund administration services to private equity clients.
• Manage client implementations and onboarding activities.
• Oversee audited and unaudited financial statements, partner capital statements, and supporting work papers.
• Manage fund audit processes and maintain the private equity business reporting calendar.
• Review gains and losses, management fees, investor allocations, investment data, and partner capital allocations.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, sub-ledgers, trial balances, and key client metrics under IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 8+ years of accounting experience focused on private equity funds.
• Previous experience leading, training, delegating, and reviewing work.
• Experience with consolidated financial statements and minority interest.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction across all organizational levels.

Nice to have

• CPA designation and/or MBA.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and other comprehensive bases of accounting, especially investment partnerships.
• Client relationship and project management experience.
