Manager - Accounting

Location: Somerset, NJ, USA

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annual pay range, including base salary and bonus

What you will do

• Lead daily accounting operations, including general ledger oversight, reconciliations, accruals, and sub-ledger integrity.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and validate journal entries, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain the internal control framework, ensure compliance with US GAAP, and coordinate external audit requests.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages with P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis, trend analysis, and KPI dashboards.
• Partner with FP&A, Payroll, Finance Operations, Procurement, IT, and Operations teams to improve end-to-end financial processes.
• Lead accounting process automation, ERP enhancements, user acceptance testing, standardization, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on financial close and internal reporting experience.
• CPA certification.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Advanced analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret large datasets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as D365; ability to lead complex accounting processes and collaborate across functions.

Nice to have

• Public accounting experience.
• Experience with BlackLine, Power BI, Workiva, Tableau, or similar reporting and automation tools.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, retail, technology, or other operationally complex environments.
• Experience with continuous improvement, finance system transformations, and enterprise ERP platforms.
