Senior Infrastructure Engineer (AWS/VMware)

What you will do

• Design data-center cage, rack, server, power, cooling, and capacity layouts with co-location partners.
• Deploy and configure servers, networks, firewalls, storage, and other hosting equipment.
• Administer and maintain hosted infrastructure, including IBM and Dell server and storage platforms, VMware, Linux, Windows domains, backups, and monitoring.
• Define, monitor, and report service metrics for availability, performance, security, and response times.
• Support incident, change, problem, and configuration management using ITIL-based processes.
• Improve automation for deployments, service provisioning, inventory management, security scanning, and service-level reporting; participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• English at B2 minimum; C1 preferred, with the ability to communicate with colleagues in North America and Europe.
• 8+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Senior Infrastructure Engineer, or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with server-hosting and data-center infrastructure, storage/SAN, networking, firewalls, and load balancing/DNS.
• Experience with AWS or GCP, VMware 8.x, RHEL 8.x or later, Windows domains and Active Directory, Veritas, and Veeam.
• Experience with automation using Ansible, Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Puppet, plus knowledge of monitoring, alerting, configuration management, and ITIL.
• Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and mentoring skills, with the ability to support and develop junior colleagues.

Nice to have

• Certifications in AWS or GCP.
• Experience with Nutanix, IBM FlashSystem, Dell PowerStore, Cisco routing and firewall solutions, Nagios, CheckMK, Puppet, or Red Hat Satellite.
