Facilities Technician

Location: Louisville, Kentucky, United States; onsite warehouse role with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

What you will do

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on conveyors, forklifts, packaging machines, and other mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and implement solutions that minimize downtime and productivity loss.
• Check equipment and facility conditions for safety compliance, hazards, and operational risks.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, work orders, and equipment availability with warehouse operations and logistics teams.
• Maintain repair, parts replacement, and maintenance schedule records; source required parts, tools, and supplies.
• Install and commission new machinery and train warehouse staff on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar warehouse or industrial role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, conveyors, motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, and industrial equipment.
• Experience diagnosing equipment malfunctions, using diagnostic tools, preventive maintenance programs, work order systems, and CMMS.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings, and communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Physical stamina for manual labor and heavy lifting, plus the ability to work under pressure and on flexible shifts.
