Manager, Software Engineering- Enhancements/ Account Maintenance (MANTL)

Location: US Remote; candidates must be eligible to work in the United States for full-time employment.

Salary: $168,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Set team strategy, priorities, expectations, and mid-term technical vision.
• Design, guide, and review system architectures while contributing production-grade code.
• Build user-facing banking workflows, scalable APIs, and third-party integrations such as Plaid and SendGrid.
• Review code and improve testing, documentation, reliability, error handling, logging, and edge-case coverage.
• Monitor infrastructure, SLA, and quality metrics while guiding technical investments and cost optimization.
• Mentor engineers, provide performance feedback, and collaborate with Product Management on requirements and technical debt.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on coding.
• 2+ years in a technology leadership role building and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, Node, and Python.
• Strong systems and API development experience.
• Experience with eventing technologies such as Kafka and databases such as Postgres.
• Experience managing concurrent workstreams and designing high-performance, high-throughput systems.
