Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in industrial controls engineering, automation, or robotics integration.
  • Expert-level PLC programming using Structured Text, Ladder Logic, or Function Block on Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, or a similar platform.
  • Experience developing HMI/SCADA systems with FactoryTalk, Ignition, TIA Portal, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience commissioning automated production equipment through FAT/SAT and production ramp, including servo/motion control and robotics integration.
  • U.S. work authorization as a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person is required, along with on-site work in Austin.

Nice to have

  • Experience in nuclear, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with MES/ERP integration, greenfield factory buildouts, automated welding, CNC robotics, or multi-line factory deployments.
  • Knowledge of IEC 61131-3, ISA-88, NFPA 79, ISO 13849, IEC 62443, and functional safety certifications such as TÜV FSEng or CFSE.
  • Experience with Kuka, Fanuc, or ABB robots, offline programming, virtual commissioning, and robot data analysis.
  • Programming experience with Python, C++, or Rust and the ability to use AI effectively.

Culture & Benefits

  • Fast-moving, execution-driven startup environment focused on advanced nuclear energy.
  • Collaborative work with experts in advanced reactors and clean energy.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and corporate gym membership.
