CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift (Robotics)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines for prototype and production parts.
• Program machines using G-code, CAM software such as Mastercam and Fusion 360, or manual programming.
• Read engineering drawings and GD&T requirements to manufacture parts to precise tolerances.
• Perform tool changes, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and machine optimization.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and other precision tools; document quality results.
• Collaborate with engineering, programming, and quality teams to improve processes, reduce waste, and shorten cycle times.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of CNC mill and lathe programming experience.
• Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation of mills and lathes.
• Experience with CAM programming and interpreting complex technical drawings and GD&T standards.
• Proficiency with inspection tools and technical documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety protocols, and maintain an organized manufacturing workspace.

Nice to have

• Completion of a CNC machining apprenticeship or vocational program.
• Experience with manual mills, engine lathes, drill presses, bandsaws, belt sanders, and hand tools.
