CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Location: Huntington Beach, California, United States; on-site, 2nd shift starting at 2:00 PM

What you will do

• Set up and operate 3- and 5-axis CNC machines, including Zimmerman and HAAS mills.
• Machine billet and non-traditional stock such as 3D prints, foam, and castings.
• Collaborate with engineering on real-time DFM feedback and rapid design iteration.
• Perform in-process and post-process inspection of molds, tooling, and final parts using standard metrology tools.
• Support LFAM 3D printing and hybrid additive-subtractive manufacturing workflows.
• Move between R&D prototypes and low-rate production while communicating across engineering, composites, inspection, and operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including setup, tooling, and troubleshooting.
• 3+ years of experience operating 5-axis gantry mills.
• Strong knowledge of G and M code and CNC operations.
• Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and learn new machines and processes quickly.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Aerospace, defense, motorsport tooling, or mold-making experience.
• Experience machining complex or non-rectangular stock and working in both prototype and production environments.
• Experience with Siemens or HAAS controllers, Tebis, Fusion, ESPRIT, NX, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
• Exposure to 3D printers, hybrid workflows, or additive-subtractive processes.
