TL;DR
Procurement & Supply Chain Manager (Industrial Procurement): Leading local procurement and supply chain operations for the Mammoth and Orca projects in Iceland with an accent on sourcing, MRO purchasing, supplier development, and contract administration. Focus on running RFQs and RFPs, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring supply continuity, and improving procurement processes in an industrial project environment.

Location: Reykjavik, Iceland; onsite presence is mandatory. Around 10% travel is expected, mainly within Iceland with occasional trips to Zurich.

What you will do

  • Lead procurement and supply chain activities in Iceland for the Mammoth and Orca projects.
  • Support project procurement, category management, MRO purchasing, and ad hoc logistics coordination.
  • Run RFQs and RFPs, evaluate suppliers, lead negotiations, and prepare pre-award recommendations.
  • Administer awarded contracts, expedite deliveries, and follow up on supplier performance.
  • Build and manage a local supplier network for industrial services, MRO, site support, and logistics.
  • Manage supply risks, resolve supplier issues, and improve local procurement processes, compliance, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in procurement, supply chain, engineering, operations, or business.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement, MRO, category management, or project procurement.
  • Hands-on experience with RFQ/RFP management, supplier evaluation, negotiations, purchase order execution, and supplier relationship management.
  • Understanding of MRO procurement and experience in project-driven or industrial environments.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English and ability to work onsite in Iceland are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SAP as an ERP system.
