Procurement Manager for Siting & Infrastructure (Fusion)

hirify.global is a European fusion company developing the hardware and infrastructure for commercial stellarator fusion power plants, including the Alpha and Stellaris machines.

What you will do

• Own procurement for construction, infrastructure, utilities, and site development activities.
• Develop sourcing strategies and identify contractors and suppliers for each procurement package.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, market assessments, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Build relationships with contractors, engineering firms, and infrastructure partners.
• Align procurement with permitting, construction schedules, and project milestones.
• Manage change orders, supplier performance, commercial risks, and process improvements using digital tools and AI.

Requirements

• 8+ years of procurement, sourcing, or commercial experience.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating construction, engineering services, EPC/EPCM, and equipment supply contracts.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills, including experience with liabilities, warranties, change orders, and acceptance provisions.
• Experience working with technical stakeholders in fast-moving, project-driven environments.
• Fluent German and English required.
• Degree in engineering, supply chain, construction management, business, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in energy, nuclear, fusion, aerospace, infrastructure, industrial facilities, or other highly regulated technical industries.
• Knowledge of German construction markets, contractor networks, permitting interfaces, HSE requirements, or industrial site development.
• Experience in scale-up, project-driven, or first-of-a-kind technical environments.
