Procurement Manager (Advanced Manufacturing)

hirify.global is a deep-tech fusion company developing hardware and infrastructure for commercial stellarator fusion power plants, including the Alpha and Stellaris machines.

What you will do

• Own procurement for advanced manufacturing, engineered components, fabrication, magnets, machined parts, castings, forgings, and welded assemblies.
• Develop sourcing strategies and identify manufacturing partners for build-to-print components.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, supplier negotiations, contract awards, and commercial escalations.
• Work with Engineering and Quality on supplier capability, manufacturing readiness, design-for-manufacture feedback, capacity planning, and first-article qualification.
• Manage supplier performance, delivery risks, contract execution, and strategic supplier relationships.
• Review manufacturing cost drivers and improve procurement decisions using digital tools and AI.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or strategic sourcing.
• Experience sourcing engineered components or manufacturing services.
• Good understanding of machining, fabrication, welding, castings, or forgings.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating manufacturing agreements, including quality requirements, inspection and test plans, non-conformance management, delivery obligations, and change control.
• Ability to work with technical drawings, specifications, and engineering teams, with strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in fusion, nuclear, energy, aerospace, defense, automotive, advanced manufacturing, medtech, or another regulated technical industry.
• Experience with additive manufacturing, special processes, metrology, inspection, first-article inspection, prototypes, or low-volume/high-complexity manufacturing.
• Familiarity with supplier quality, non-conformance management, manufacturing documentation, and inspection/test plans.
