What you will do
- Own procurement for integrated systems, manufacturing equipment, and supplier-designed technical packages.
- Develop sourcing strategies and identify suppliers for cryogenic, fuel-cycle, vacuum, electrical, cooling, instrumentation, control, data, plasma-heating, and diagnostic systems.
- Lead RFIs, RFPs, market assessments, supplier negotiations, and contract awards.
- Define agreements covering performance, warranties, documentation, acceptance testing, and lifecycle support.
- Coordinate with Engineering on supplier interfaces, technical risks, delivery milestones, integration responsibilities, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage supplier performance, change requests, commercial risks, and procurement-process improvements using digital tools and AI.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or strategic sourcing.
- Experience sourcing complex equipment, machinery, or integrated technical systems.
- Ability to work with technical specifications, system interfaces, acceptance testing, and changing requirements.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to balance technical, commercial, and project considerations across multiple stakeholders.
- Degree in Engineering or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience in fusion, aerospace, energy, nuclear, automation, or other complex engineering industries.
- Experience sourcing cryogenic systems, vacuum equipment, manufacturing machinery, power systems, or similar technical packages.
- Familiarity with FAT/SAT, commissioning, warranties, and lifecycle support.
- Experience in a startup, scale-up, or first-of-a-kind engineering environment.
