Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Nights

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. On-site role working a 12-hour night shift from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. on a 2-2-3 schedule. Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Salary: $29.00–$34.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to support safe, reliable plant operations and reduce downtime.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, including basic PLC diagnostics.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, pumps, mixers, and production systems.
• Use the CMMS to plan and complete preventive maintenance tasks and maintain accurate repair and purchasing records.
• Operate forklifts and lifts after required training and certification.
• Install new or upgraded equipment and train or support maintenance mechanics and helpers as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Five or more years of combined technical training and maintenance experience.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including basic PLC diagnostics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance systems.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely at heights.

Nice to have

• Refrigeration certification or an equivalent technical credential.
• Experience with CMMS and preventive or predictive maintenance programs.
• Machining, pipefitting, or PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
