Senior Engineering Manager - Compliance (AI)

Location: London, hybrid — 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. Onboarding and the final interview take place at the Paris office.

What you will do

• Directly manage 2–3 cross-functional compliance squads comprising 8–15 engineers.
• Co-create the long-term product and technical strategy for the compliance domain with Product and Design leadership.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into secure, usable product experiences.
• Own delivery performance by defining and tracking velocity and quality KPIs.
• Balance technical debt, architectural health, innovation, and roadmap priorities.
• Oversee integrations and operational reliability for external partners, including payment service providers and legal data providers.

Requirements

• Experience as a hands-on engineering manager with technical mentoring through code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Strong backend foundation, ideally with Java or Kotlin.
• Background scaling compliance or fintech systems in high-security environments.
• Experience managing technical migrations or structural changes in evolving environments.
• Ability to make strategic decisions at the intersection of technology, regulation, security, and product growth.
• Fluent English required; French is a bonus.

• Interest in emerging technologies, particularly AI and their application to engineering productivity and product value.
• French language skills.

Hiring process

• Initial 45-minute call with Talent Acquisition.
• Interview with the VP of Engineering, followed by product and technical cases with relevant stakeholders and engineers.
• Final interview with the CTO, held at the Paris office.
