Engineering Manager - Banking Platform (Fintech)

Location: Onsite at the offices in Berlin or Munich, Germany. International relocation support is provided if required, with an opportunity to work from abroad.

What you will do

• Lead and manage an engineering team building a fully vertically integrated investment and banking platform.
• Support engineers’ career development and grow the team toward self-organization, agility, and autonomy.
• Provide technical expertise and promote software development best practices.
• Build and integrate new features in collaboration with Product and Design.
• Organize priorities and deliver business goals with the engineering and Product teams.
• Participate in recruiting future engineers and team members.

Requirements

• University degree in computer science, engineering, sciences, or a comparable qualification.
• Previous backend development experience with Java and Kotlin.
• Experience with cloud infrastructures or event-based asynchronous architectures is preferred.
• Strong understanding of software development processes, loosely coupled distributed architectures, and RESTful API design.
• Strong ownership, analytical thinking, communication skills, and commitment to technical excellence.
