Manager I, Engineering - AI Platform - Evaluation & Annotation

What you will do

• Manage and grow the Evaluation & Annotation team, directly leading 4–6 engineers.
• Define the technical roadmap in alignment with AI Platform and Applied AI objectives.
• Lead development of offline and online AI model evaluation systems.
• Design tooling and processes for human annotation, synthetic data, and AI-generated datasets.
• Partner with AI Platform, Applied AI, infrastructure, and tooling teams to build systems from the ground up.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and hands-on coding.

Requirements

• Previous experience leading software engineering teams as a tech lead or people manager.
• Strong software engineering background with backend, data engineering, and infrastructure experience.
• Ability to build and lead high-performing teams with strong interpersonal skills.
• Track record of delivering high-quality software on schedule and collaborating with product partners.
• Interest in working on an early-stage project with complex technical challenges and rapid iteration.
• Willingness to remain a hands-on engineering leader.
