Systems Test Engineer - Automation, Early Career

Location: Onsite at the Carlsbad, California office; U.S. Citizenship required. Site-based employees work at least 3 days per week from a hirify.global office or work location. Relocation assistance may be available based on eligibility.

Salary: $77,000–$122,000 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $96,000–$144,000 annually.

What you will do

• Develop and perform testing for a diverse satellite network ecosystem.
• Write test automation, pipelines, test frameworks, and API support for satellite network modems and terminals.
• Prepare automated test procedures, debug failed tests, and automate manual tests.
• Support the development of custom test hardware and automation using company and industry standards.
• Manage test system deployment from hardware and software integration through design verification and full-rate production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support customer needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of full-time relevant industry experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to work from the Carlsbad office are required.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as C/C++, Java, Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including IP, TCP, UDP, Multicast, MPLS, or REST.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools and the Linux environment.

Nice to have

• Strong Python skills.
• Automated test framework and tooling experience.
• Experience with wireless, satellite communications, SATCOM, or radio-frequency systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
