TL;DR
Software and Integration Test Engineer (Space Systems): Designing and executing verification and integration tests for mission-critical lunar lander software and hardware with an accent on automated testing infrastructure, continuous integration, and spacecraft subsystem validation. What you will do

  • Design test plans and procedures to verify spacecraft software and hardware, including propulsion, sensors, thermal systems, avionics, and guidance, navigation, and control systems.
  • Develop software testing infrastructure and automated tests for spacecraft systems across emulators and hardware platforms.
  • Expand nightly automated regression testing through continuous integration pipelines and improve test coverage.
  • Execute manual tests involving spacecraft hardware, report regressions, and write software defect tickets.
  • Build reporting tools that connect test outcomes with subsystem-level requirements, while benchmarking system performance across flight modes.
  • Lead anomaly investigations and collaborate with developers, engineers, and technicians to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree, ideally in a technical field.
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency with object-oriented programming and scripting languages such as Python.
  • Experience building and testing distributed software and hardware systems.
  • Ability to lead anomaly investigations involving multiple technical experts.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person and be eligible for required U.S. export authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of formal software verification and validation processes.
  • Experience with Git, Docker, QEMU, Linux, and embedded operating systems.
  • Familiarity with MISRA-C, spacecraft communication protocols, electronic test equipment, and environmental testing.
  • Experience with spacecraft controls, thermal, RF communications, avionics, and power systems.
