Fleet Operations Regional Manager Eastern Region (Robotics)

Location: Remote, with regular field travel across the Eastern Region, including Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, and West Virginia. Up to 50% overnight travel, a valid US driver's license, and the ability to work on customer sites are required.

What you will do

• Lead, develop, and schedule a distributed team of 8–15 Fleet Technicians across 10 or more states.
• Own regional fleet uptime, MTTR, MTBF, first-time-fix-rate, SLA, and operational performance metrics.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex field issues, personally supporting deployments and coordinating senior technicians.
• Conduct root cause analysis and partner with Engineering, Safety, Customer Success, Product, and Sales on systemic improvements.
• Manage regional parts, tooling, contractor labor, documentation, maintenance procedures, compliance, and operating budgets.
• Represent Bedrock with partner customers through QBRs, site reviews, incident updates, and expansion planning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in field service, fleet operations, or technical field management, including at least 2 years managing field technicians.
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems, robotics, industrial automation, heavy equipment, aerospace, EVs, autonomous vehicles, or a related field.
• Experience managing geographically distributed teams and improving reliability KPIs such as uptime, MTTR, MTBF, or first-time-fix rate.
• Strong analytical, communication, customer management, and operational problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with field service management or FMS/ERP platforms such as Fleetio, SAP, Salesforce Field Service, or IFS.
• Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record required; willingness to work occasional weekends, evenings, or on-call shifts is also required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Management, Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, advanced manufacturing, or technician-led preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Familiarity with ISO reliability standards, Six Sigma, Lean, or other process-improvement frameworks.
• Experience in a venture-backed, high-growth technology company.
