Chief Operating Officer (Biotech)

hirify.global is a clinical-stage veterinary medicine startup developing longevity drugs for dogs and pursuing FDA approval for its lead program, LOY-002.

What you will do

• Own operational execution of the first commercial launch planned for 2027.
• Lead Finance, People, Program Leadership, Commercial, Customer Service, and Commercial and Internal/Platform Engineering.
• Scale the organization from approximately 70 to 150 people while tying headcount growth to commercial milestones.
• Own the company operating cadence, including goals, business reviews, and board preparation.
• Coordinate commercial demand and technical supply through the S&OP cadence with the CTOO.
• Build the prescription drug distribution platform and a scalable customer service organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of operating experience at high-growth startups, including experience scaling a company with 50–300 employees.
• Experience building operating systems and functions from scratch and scaling them through inflection points.
• Technical credibility across engineering, data, or other technical disciplines, with the ability to lead technical reviews.
• Commercial judgment, strong people-management skills, high agency, and exceptional follow-through.
• Current use of AI tools and a clear perspective on deploying AI across the organization.
• Comfort operating in a milestone-based, pre-revenue business and in a remote-first environment with regular travel to visit the distributed team.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting a first commercial launch at a VC-backed biotech, medical device, or other regulated physical-product company.
• Background in veterinary or animal health, consumer health pharma, or regulated direct-to-consumer business.
• Experience building functions from 0 to 1 and transitioning them to specialist leaders as the organization matures.
