Aerospace Software Test Engineer III

What you will do

• Design and architect complex test procedures for flight and ground software in all-digital and hardware-in-the-loop simulation environments.
• Build software frameworks that automate test execution and report generation.
• Lead automated testing pipelines for daily flight and ground software commits and review merge and pull requests.
• Develop unit test strategies and verify compliance with internal and external customer requirements.
• Document requirements, designs, plans, and schedules while considering maintainability and scalability.
• Communicate milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies while improving software engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–8+ years of formal software testing experience and a record of leading successful testing initiatives.
• Strong C/C++ and Python skills, with the ability to mentor other engineers.
• Extensive Linux development experience.
• Deep knowledge of Agile software development and experience leading Agile practices.
• Experience with Git, test automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Expert-level C/C++ and Python development skills.
• Experience architecting test frameworks and automation solutions.
• Experience with the NASA Trick Simulation Environment.
• Open-source contributions or technical publications.
