Senior Software Engineer - Integrated Test (Aerospace)

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 base pay per year

What you will do

• Design and build simulation environments for integrated labs, hardware-in-the-loop systems, and software benches used in aircraft validation and verification.
• Own laboratory tools and interfaces, optimizing workflows while maintaining configuration management and traceability for certification and regulatory requirements.
• Integrate third-party software and hardware systems into simulation architectures in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
• Develop and optimize simulation pipelines with CI/CD integration for automated deployment, execution, and monitoring.
• Contribute to technical standards, guide other engineers, and resolve complex issues across integrated laboratories.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining hardware-in-the-loop test simulation environments and associated software tools.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong C/C++ and Python skills.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink in a real-time simulation environment.
• Experience with RS-422/485, CAN/CAN-FD, ARINC-429, Ethernet, and TCP/IP communication protocols.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins, plus agile workflows and cross-functional troubleshooting.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, spacecraft, or autonomous vehicles.
• Proficiency with the NI software suite, including LabVIEW and VeriStand.
• Experience in real-time operating system development.
• Familiarity with FAA frameworks and DO-178 standards.
• Startup or fast-paced aerospace development experience.
