Senior Spacecraft Software Test Engineer (Python/C++)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop test plans for flight and ground software.
• Implement flight software integration and regression tests in Python.
• Support debugging of flight software tests in C/C++, Docker containers, and software simulations.
• Bring up hardware-in-the-loop test environments and integrate sensor and actuator emulators.
• Automate integration tests through CI/CD.
• Work with GNC and operations teams to create “day in the life” tests that replicate spacecraft operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 3+ years developing test plans and test scripts for embedded applications.
• 5+ years of experience with Python and C++.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. export regulations, including ITAR and EAR.

• Experience with spacecraft command and data handling software.
• Experience with spacecraft operations.
• Demonstrated project ownership and ability to work effectively in growing teams.
