Senior Spacecraft Software Test Engineer (Python/C++)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite. Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under ITAR/EAR regulations.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year, plus potential stock options and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop test plans for flight and ground software.
• Implement flight software integration and regression tests in Python.
• Debug flight software tests in C/C++ and support software simulations and Docker environments.
• Build hardware-in-the-loop test environments and integrate hardware emulators for sensors and actuators.
• Integrate automated integration tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with GNC and operations teams to create “day in the life” tests that model spacecraft operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing test plans and test scripts for embedded applications.
• 5+ years of experience with Python and C++.
• Ability to work onsite in Redondo Beach and meet applicable U.S. export-control requirements.
