Logistics and Tool Control Manager (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Manage tool-control programs for maintenance, integration, modification, ground-test, and flight-test activities.
• Maintain serialized records and accountability for tools, calibrated devices, batteries, ground-support equipment, and other controlled assets.
• Coordinate tool, parts, spare, and support-kit staging, issuance, reconciliation, receiving, inspection, quarantine, storage, and returns.
• Maintain calibration schedules and prevent expired, damaged, or suspect equipment from being used on flight hardware.
• Lead FOD-prevention activities, cycle counts, inventory and tool audits, discrepancy investigations, corrective actions, and process improvements.
• Provide logistics-readiness status, risks, shortage reports, and blockers to flight-test leadership while supporting remote test deployments and mobile range operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in aviation, aerospace, defense, flight test, maintenance, logistics, or production operations.
• Experience managing controlled tools, calibrated equipment, spares, or technical inventory.
• Familiarity with FOD prevention, material traceability, and maintenance support.
• Experience with inventory, ERP, CMMS, QMS, barcode, RFID, or similar asset-management systems.
• Strong cross-functional coordination, documentation, audit, problem-solving, and corrective-action skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ground- and flight-test environment and support overtime and weekend coverage when required.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of relevant aviation, aerospace, defense, flight-test, maintenance, logistics, or production-operations experience.
• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA, DoD/DoW, and other aerospace quality-system requirements.
• Experience with defense programs, ITAR/EAR-controlled environments, or security-cleared environments.
• Experience supporting prototype aircraft, weapon systems, or mission-critical aerospace systems.
